I am a first generation Mexican American, born and raised in Chicago in a bilingual and bicultural household. As a child I worked at my father's small business where I learned the meaning of a hard day's work.
 

I earned a BS in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago and worked as an ER nurse in IL and AZ. My career and personal goals led me to pursue a MBA at Thunderbird School of Global Management, a program known for Global Leadership.
 

In 2020 I took on a new challenge as a Healthcare Consultant at Alvarez & Marsal where I was introduced to Search Funds, also known as Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition. I spend a large part of my time finding acquisition targets for funds and private investors.

My interest in private equity and entrepreneurship led me to pursue an Advanced Finance Program at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. In 2021 I returned to the U.S. with my family to establish Pilar Capital.
